‘RHOA’ Ratings Hit Rock Bottom as Phaedra Parks’ Highly Anticipated Comeback Falls Flat!

The latest season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta promised drama, but it’s not translating to ratings — even with the highly anticipated return of fan favorite Phaedra Parks.

While Bravo heavily promoted Phaedra’s comeback, the May 2025 episode brought in just 464,000 viewers, marking a new series low for the long-running franchise. The numbers are raising eyebrows, especially among fans who felt Kenya Moore’s departure was mishandled and Phaedra should have never came back after the problematic stuff she has done.

Amid the backlash, Andy Cohen attempted to reassure viewers, citing Phaedra’s return as a potential shake-up. But the buzz around Phaedra’s comeback hasn’t delivered the jolt producers hoped for.

Adding to the mixed reactions, Phaedra’s own past remarks resurfaced — and fans are taking note. Years ago, she famously said, “No, I don’t wanna pick up a peach. If I wanted a peach, I would have a peach pie. I’ve made it very clear that’s not what I want to do. I will be yachting. Let them continue to sail away on the Titanic.”

On the show, Phaedra wasted no time getting shady. “I knew a little bit about Brit because we’ve got a mutual best friend,” she told Porsha Williams, referring to the newcomer as a “woman about town.” Of fellow new Housewife Kelli, she added, “tiny” Kelli was “giving garden gnome” and “Smurfette.”

She saved her most cutting comment for Angela, saying she “had no idea” who she was — or that Charles Oakley had a wife. As for Drew Sidora, Phaedra dubbed her “Drusilla,” but quickly added, “I know Ralph,” referring to Drew’s estranged husband Ralph Pittman. When asked by Porsha how she knew Ralph, Phaedra explained, “Well, we’re in a lot of the same friend circles. My old manager is his manager.”

Despite the tension on-screen, Phaedra and Porsha’s reunion has been a bright spot. “You and I have a chemistry unmatched,” Phaedra said on the RHOA After Show.

“Anytime we get together, it’s like we can read each other’s mind.” Porsha agreed: “It’s like no days missed.”

While the Frick and Frack rekindled their bond, the overall vibe of the season has left fans divided. And with no ratings bump in sight, Bravo may have to rethink its formula — even with its signature peaches back in hand.
