Retail theft suspect arrested in Orange County investigation

A suspect was arrested while the authorities were investigating a series of retail theft throughout southern California.

The man was identified as Anthony Stephen Machuka, 29, from Baldwin Park, according to the Irvin Police Department.

On June 26, the police achieved a robbery at a targeted store at the Irvin Sakterum Center. According to the Machuca employees, he goes to a cash record, and after “manipulating the screen”, it has successfully opened the cash stairs.

The police said that while the workers tried to confront him, he was claimed that he had paid an employee away from the road while escaping from the store.

After the investigation, the Machuca investigators identified as a suspect and put it in a hotel in Corona.

Body camera video The police showed that the officers surrounding Machka are outside the hotel and drafted the hands.

Investigators believe that Machuca may be responsible for more than 35 other targeted thefts throughout southern California.

He was arrested for theft and a police officer battery. There were no further details with the case remaining under investigation.
