Redwood City police make arrests, seize illegal fireworks in July 4 operation

(Kron) – The Police Department announced on Monday – The Ministry of Police announced on Monday that the Redwood city police officers in the city of Redwood had arrested, and provided nearly 65 warnings and seized nearly 600 illegal fireworks on July 4.

The Redwood City Police Department said it is activating additional resources during the weekend to treat fireworks throughout the city. The authorities said that fireworks are illegal in the city of Redwood, due to the danger of the fire they pose, the risk of injuries and the added emergency service calls to which officers are responding.

A coordinated enforcement operation on July 4, which said RCPD used a newly formed drone team to discover illegal fireworks source, led to:

  • Arrests, which the police said are “a dangerous mortar fireworks” fireworks.
  • Almost 65 warnings, often for groups of people
  • 597 Illegal fireworks have been seized
  • A firearm was seized while investigating the detention
  • One fire, which was lit by the fireworks that were extinguished by the Redwood city firefighter department

“The illegal fireworks were at risk,” said Christina Bell, chief of police chief of Kristena Bell. “We appreciate the members of society who report violations and helped us intervene before more serious accidents.”
