Recent burglaries in Atherton share 'common elements'

(Kron) – Atheer Police Administration said it increases patrols amid a rash in the last housing. According to Police Chief Stephen McCole, the incidents, “Share some common elements.”

Last month, the police issued information about five robberies targeting Atherton’s homes:

  • August 26, 100 blocks of El Camino Real: The suspects entered the separate garage through a non -insured door and stole a bike.
  • September 13, Euclid Street: The officers responded to a report on the robbery at 6:30 pm and found three suspects in the area. The police arrested the suspects and released their parents.
  • September 13, Holbroc Lin: The suspects broke a rear glass door at approximately 9 pm to enter the residence. The robbery was discovered after two days.
  • September 18, 100 blocks of Tusciaosa Street: The suspects broke a glass door before 9 pm to enter.
  • September 19, Barry Lin: The suspects have gained entry overnight “through a glass fireplace window after several unsuccessful attempts to break the other windows.”

President McColeli said that the recent robberies targeted not busy homes, as the entry was carried out by breaking the back doors and windows. The thieves steal “jewelry, watches, luxury handbags and cabinets, all of which are reserved in the primary bedroom or adjacent rooms,” according to McCole.

The residents are encouraged to lock doors and windows, use external lighting and look at the lights that are activated by the movement, and make homes appear busy with lights or TVs, maintain precious objects and cabinets outside the basic bedroom, increase the bushes near windows and doors to eliminate hiding places, and report suspicious activity to the Atherton line other than the horoscopes in 650-688-6500.
