Rams Star Puka Nacua Names 4-Time Pro Bowler As NFL’s Best WR

One of the 2025 NFL season breakout players has been Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua. He is off to a historic start this season, reeling in 52 passes for 588 yards (both NFL records) and two touchdowns across five games. He has been the most dominant player in the sport and has shown no signs of slowing down.

Even with his incredible start, Nacua is not ready to name himself as the best wide receiver in football. Instead, he points to an NFC foe as the best pass catcher in the league.

Puka Nacua Names Justin Jefferson the NFL’s Best Receiver

In a league full of great pass catchers, Nacua thinks Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson is the best of the bunch. Nacua said to RG.org, “It’s hard to go away from that boy Justin Jefferson, No. 18 out there, the way he moves, the way he can go out and get the ball,” says Nacua. “It’s always fun to see his smile, too. You can’t go wrong (with Jefferson).”

Jefferson has been excellent since joining the NFL in 2020. He has 1,000+ receiving yards in each of his first five seasons and has totaled 41 touchdowns. Jefferson can line up at any spot and provide elite production. Even with questionable QB play at times, he has not missed a beat.

What is interesting is that Jefferson’s best season came in 2022 when he caught 128 passes for 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns. Nacua is on pace to smash all of those numbers this season.

Nacua is exceeding all expectations as a player after being selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Every team in the league clearly mis-evaluated him, and the Rams are reaping the benefits.

The Rams’ Success goes through their Offense

The Rams have a high-powered offense that they will continue to rely on this season. Outside of Nacua, Davante Adams, Kyren Williams, and quarterback Matthew Stafford lead the way.

Coming off a tough loss to the 49ers last week, the Rams hope to get back on track against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The Ravens have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, and the Rams should have no problem moving the ball against them. Expect another massive game from Nacua and company on Sunday.
