Racist remarks caught on video at East Bay high school baseball game

(Crohn) – A video clip of the cell phone at Albani Secondary School takes the baseball players from the opposition team screaming on racist notes.

The video was recorded on April 23 during the baseball game between Albani and Benny Valley’s secondary schools.

Pinole Valley players fired as “PF Chang”, after the Chinese chain of restaurants. Then they started chanting “Baljet”, an Indian character from the Disney “Phineas and Ferb”.

Parents of Albani say that their children were detained in the game and did not notice the notes at that time, but they feel dismay from what they call “stark racism” and “discrimination”.

“This is not an acceptable behavior by any means, especially in our society, in the Gulf region,” said Matison Lee. “I do not think on this day acceptable.”

“Understand that their words, actions, and their intentions have serious realistic consequences, through which they can be understood,” says Father Jason Torfo. “It is heavy on this side of the field.”

Eugene Lee is the father of one of the targeted players. He wants Pinole Valley High School to take responsibility for their students and reduce their season.

He tells me: “He sends the correct message.” “This means that if you cross this line and bring hatred to the field, you will not be able to take the field. Any action that occurs after the season that does not affect the current team in the current season is not largely relevant.”

Parents from other schools say this was not an isolated accident, as they narrated a previous accident in a near -high school El Cerrito.

Anatalio ubalde says: “The humiliating terms are called racism and gay sexual and are unnecessary,” says Anatalio Ubalde. “This is a game that must be played in the field. These things do not need to be part of it. It’s a fun and beautiful game.”

The supervisor of the unified Albanian School area sent an email at the district level, saying they had submitted many complaints and spoke with the principal of the Pinoley High School.

However, some parents want me to see stronger consequences.

“If we normalize this type of language and this type of behavior in the field, it will rise,” he tells me.

Kron4 continues to the West Contra Costa School to respond to them but did not hear in time for this report.
