Porsha Williams Says Dennis McKinley Filming With Drew Sidora Felt Like a Betrayal and Accuses Him of Using RHOA for Personal Gain!
Porsha Williams says Dennis McKinley filming with Drew Sidora felt like a betrayal and a “pile-on,” accusing him of using her to promote himself on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The emotional fallout unfolded in Season 16, Episode 8, after Porsha said she learned from a friend that Dennis Drew had filmed together for the show. According to her, she was completely blindsided. “I was in shock that he had betrayed what our agreement was,” Porsha explained in a RHOA After Show clip with castmate Brit Eady.“It just kind of shut me down. It just felt like a pile-on.”
Porsha noted that Dennis had previously agreed not to film with Drew, and discovering he had gone against that understanding left her frustrated and hurt.
While Porsha processed her feelings on camera, Cynthia Bailey — returning to offer insight this season — described Porsha as being “hotter than fish grease.” Cynthia also challenged Drew to consider how she would feel if the roles were reversed.
“Would you feel some kind of way if any of the ladies in the circle filmed with your estranged husband Ralph without telling you?” Cynthia asked.
Drew, however, didn’t see the comparison. “This is the thing: In this group, we’re friends,” she responded, pointing out that her ex-husband Ralph Pittman had previously “hung out” with fellow Bravo alum Phaedra Parks. “I don’t see a difference [between] filming and being friends.”
Drew went on to explain that she and Porsha had already talked about her working with Dennis in the past — and that it didn’t seem to be an issue at the time. “If we already talked about the fact Dennis and I were working together — and that was OK, and you’re in support of it — I don’t understand the issue if we are now working together [filming RHOA],” Drew said.
She added that she believes Porsha may be misinterpreting the situation or possibly feeling emotionally triggered.
“I just feel like no one’s doing anything to hurt Porsha,” she continued. “Like, this isn’t something damaging. It’s all love, and it’s all positive.” Drew — who has repeatedly denied any romantic connection to Dennis — also questioned why Porsha would be upset over her pursuing her music career on the show. “There is no issue between her and Dennis,” she said. “She knows that we’re all friends.”
Still, Cynthia pushed back slightly, telling Drew that, from her perspective, it’s about respect. “For me, it’s a respect thing,” Cynthia said. “I would feel very uncomfortable dealing with Ralph outside of you, and I would need to call and clear it with you first.”
Porsha, meanwhile, made it clear in her After Show confessional that this isn’t just about one filming session — it’s about boundaries and emotional safety during a vulnerable time. “I didn’t need that on top of what I was already going through,” she said, referencing her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia.
She also expressed concern that others may be leveraging RHOA for personal gain. “Some people use this platform to catapult whatever they wanna catapult,” Porsha said. “Why would I wanna offer that to him? No. Don’t open the door.”
In an earlier episode, Porsha voiced similar concerns to producers, saying, “Imagine [Dennis] and I getting into it or something, and we’re not speaking. And now he gets offered these cameras to come and use my own platform against me.”
As the season unfolds, it’s unclear whether Drew and Porsha will be able to reconcile — or if this situation will lead to deeper fractures within the group. One thing’s certain: boundaries, loyalty, and blurred lines between friendship and filming continue to be a recipe for explosive drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
