Population growth affecting metro area intersections

Denver (KDVR) – There were 55 traffic deaths in Denver in 2025, according to the city’s records. The population growth of the metro area puts more pressure on the high -motion areas across the front range.

“There are many people in many cars,” said one of the drivers.

Drivers who use multiple circulation corridors in 8th Avenue and Kalamath Street told Fox31 that increased traffic could represent safety risks if drivers are drifting from their paths.

A driver said: “I drive a 26 -foot box trucks, and they are very feverish because they are like three corridors that merge each time.”

A spokesman for the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Fox31 One Lane said in 8th Avenue and KALAMATH Street was recently restricted to ensure the flow of traffic properly and safely.

The growing traffic affects pedestrians and cyclists as well.

The city has expanded the use of signs of the hematococcus, but the drivers told Fox31 that many people rushed or did not reside in the specified corridors.

“I see some tire signs there, so I imagine that someone may roll on the side,” a driver said.

The 6th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard Street intersection also includes several corridors and is one of the most crowded corridors in this part of the city.

Doti Fox31 told the crews constantly monitoring the intersections and making improvements, which include work to replace signaling systems on the street and improve vision.

Doti warns that there is a special risk that usually happens when time is to restore hours in November. The glow of the sun can be dangerous during peak hours in the morning and evening. Drivers should be prepared with glasses and avoid deviations.
