San Francisco (Crohn) – Four thousand pounds – more than tinnitus – were removed from garbage and neglected things from the bottom of the Richardson Bay during an effort to remove the weekly marine debris.
Divers and technical experts removed a set of things from the Richardson Bay protection zone (EPZ). Richardson Bay regional officials said that things included a video game console, a tennis and electric battlefield.
Parts of the EPZ were previously used to consolidate the long -term live vessels, known locally known as “anchor”, and completed the abandoned and deserted vessels. RBRA officials said it was now protected from these destructive activities, which were officially launched last October and will help restore eelgrass.
From only one acre area, the diving team withdrew the following elements from the Gulf:
- Two small boats
- shopping cart
- Garden tools and hand saws
- Many external engines and mobile generators
- PlayStation
- Massacre
- Anchoring and chains of the anchor
- Microwave
- Many empty emptiness oil containers
- Office chair and land lamp
- Tennis and basement racket
- Keyboard
“This is just a tip of the iceberg,” said Keith Merkel, a dual -dimensional restoration specialist.
“We had divers working in water here for years as part of our diodes
Efforts, and we saw that the Gulf floor is full of this type of debris. “
The previous connection area, which covers an area of more than 300 acres, covers so much debris as it prevents efforts to re -cultivate bullets, according to RBRA.
“At the present time, we are targeting efforts to remove our debris in places where the boats were removed and EELGRASS restoration for this summer, but eventually the entire EPZ must be removed,” said Merkel. “This is many, many tons of debris.”

“Unfortunately, I am not surprised by the amount of debris and the neglected elements that we removed from the Gulf floor, below where the ships were in the anchor for years. Mariners resided permanently on the ships in the anchor.”
EELEGRASS, according to RBRA, reduces corrosion, and carbon sneaks, which is a decisive eclipse of the port seals, the lions of the sea, and a complex community of other marine life.

When the anchors and chains get rid of the bottom of the bay, they work mainly as a force in the grass for all living plants. This creates “crop circles”, or arid areas where no duo can grow.
