Person suffers life-threatening injuries in Fairfield fire

(Crohn)-One person was transferred to the hospital with wounds threatening his life in a fire in the early morning in Fairfield on Saturday, according to the Fairfield fire extinguishing department.

The fire caught shortly after midnight in the back courtyard of a house between the Borbank Court and Colub Drive.

The firefighters arrived at the scene and found a large, separate structure burning in the backyard. The fire was spreading to the wall and line of a neighboring feature.

“During the firefighting operations, FFD employees discovered a civilian infection in the separate structure,” said FFD. “After removing the patient from the structure, medical care began in emergency situations by the FFD.”

The victim was transferred by an ambulance to a local shock center. Other information about the victim’s condition is not available at this time.
