Pecan Street Festival leaving Austin, moving to suburb

Austin – after decades on the sixth street in the center of Austin, the Pecan Street Street Festival is moving this spring. According to a press release, the festival will move to Bee Cave.

It will be held in Hill Control Galleria on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4. Organizers said that the new site provides more space, welcoming atmosphere, and wide free situations.

According to the event, this step is also due to the “last restructuring” on the sixth street. These changes include new barriers and modifications to parking.

“We know the privacy of this event for the Austin community, and our goal is to enhance the festival’s experience by providing abundant space, comfortable comfort, and a welcome environment that celebrates the amazing local talent that makes the Bekan Street Festival very distinctive,” said Alura Hess, Director of Marketing at Hill Control Galleria.

The Bikan Street Festival was traditionally on East VI Street, which was originally called Pikan Street under the Austin Street naming system in the nineteenth century. The festival includes sellers, artists, food and more. This year, the organizers said it will also include horseback riding and a Petting Zoo. The full music collection will be announced soon.

In 2017, the leaders of the city of Austin realized the long -term festival as a heritage event. At that time, the event attracted an estimated 250,000 participants during the weekend.
