The mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass blames disturbances to intensify ice raids in the Trump administration last week.
“I will return to last Thursday,” said Bass. “Nothing happened. Nothing justifies the raids.”
The mayor also asks why the targets of immigration raids apparently change.
“If you remember, at the beginning of this administration, we were told that the raids will be to search for violent criminals, and people with orders,” Pass said. “But I do not know how to move from the drug dealer to the home warehouse. To the workplace of people, where they just try to earn a livelihood.”
Los Angeles has announced a tactical alert in an attempt to restore the regime. The crowds were dispersed as of Tuesday morning, but it was not clear whether more protests had been planned later in the day.
