On-site Red Cross resources available for Bennett tornado victims

Bennett, Colorado (KDVR)-Resources are now available for Bennett Tornado victims on the site from Red Cross.

From 10 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, the Red Cross established a disaster assistance center at the Bennett Entertainment Center at 455 S.1 St. Dozens of individuals affected by hurricanes on Sunday.

“Working with people to start the process of identifying either the short or long -term housing in terms of its connection with the damage that may have occurred to their homes. The other thing we are working on is to cooperate with the boycott to make the damage to all affected structures,” said John Cyuri of the American Red Cross in Colorado.

The Red Cross also provides material resources, including cleaning groups, back bags full of hygiene, snacks and food. Fox31 was at the scene of the accident and also saw pets supply. The Red Cross was ready to open a shelter for the victims, but it was able to find everyone a safe place to stay on Sunday.

“Our mental health will also be the disaster there. This is a good shoulder to listen to it, a good hug, and a blanket that does not harm anyone.”

Although it is unique that a hurricane passed through Colorado, the Red Cross said that no one heard of it.

“Throughout the country, throughout the day, we respond to large and small disasters, and over the past two weeks, we have had our hands in many hurricanes as well, especially in Missouri and Arkansas.”

The Red Cross said the best way to support victims is through cash donations. For more information about the resources following the hurricane, you prefer a visit Red Cross site.
