Oakland police officer punched by suspect at traffic light stop

(Krona) – The Auckland Police Administration said the suspect was arrested after a “completely unjustified” assault on an officer.

The accident occurred at 3:30 pm on Friday in the International Street area and 104 Street.

Oakland PD said that two officers travel west – in response to a non -relevant police call – when they stopped at the traffic light. The police said that while they were waiting for the green light, one of the suspects ran to the noticeable patrol vehicle and began to perfume one officer across the open window.

Both officers were able to get out of the car and took the suspect.

The injured officer suffered from swelling and acting during the accident. He was transferred to a nearby hospital and released on the same day, now he is recovering at home.

“Certainly, a very disturbing event for our members,” said Hui Ngwin, head of the Police Officers Association, in an interview with Kron4. “It is completely unjustified. This has shown the level of risks not only by our community members every day, but our police officers.”

The police did not specify the suspect. It is not yet known what the suspect is facing.
