((Crohn– The Santa Clara Police Administration brought awareness of the romantic scheme after it tried a possible deception of a person’s fraud in the department’s comments on Facebook.
On Sunday, Santa Clara PD shared a screenshot of a man who wrote to a person commenting on the section page.
“I always enjoy what you share here on Facebook, but we are not yet friends.” He continued to inform the potential victim that he asked to be their acquaintances on social media several times and that he wanted to “share moments of laughter and good ideas with him.”
SCPD responded to this post, describing the message “Smetchy”, and also said: “This is a fraud -free area. Nice attempt, but not on our page, and certainly not on our watch.
The administration said that the deception is likely to respond to a comment and a conversation about how they were stumbling through the victim’s page. There is a potential statement to guide him to deception is that they cannot add the victim as a friend to Facebook, and the victim must send them a request.
“This is not a Harmark movie. It is more likely a fraud using a fake profile image. Lutments usually begin love. He is not looking for companionship. He is looking for someone who falls to get a fake story, click a link, or deliver personal information. Maybe even money.” Certainly he does not like. “
