New Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools named

(Kron) – David Toaston was appointed as a supervisor of the new Santa Clara province of schools by the Education Council on Wednesday.

Toston will start its function on May 1. “It brings 25 years of experience in education and deep commitment to address inequality and transfer systems to meet the needs of all students,” wrote a spokesman for the Santa Clara district.

“The Board of Directors welcomes David Toaston,” said the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Memona, Perta. “It has shown an exceptional leadership and deep dedication to enhance students’ success and educational excellence.”

Toston was appointed during a meeting of the Board of Directors to replace the former supervisor, Mary Ann Diwan, who was suddenly expelled in October.

“This role represents a privilege and responsibility, and I look forward to partnership with our trustees, our colleagues in the team, the team, the regions, the students, the teachers, the families, and the community partners. We will together clarify what is possible through the strength of our diversity – each teacher is supported in preparing students to achieve ideas, dreams and dreams.”

Toston previously worked as a co -supervisor of the Education Office in El Dorado County. In 2017, he was appointed to the California Consulting Committee for Special Education.

He started his career as a teacher for the eighth grade and continued to work as a consultant, psychiatrist and private education manager. He holds a master’s degree in school psychology, and recently completed a PhD at Los Angeles Verne University, where his research explored the distinction between inclusion and belonging in K -12 education.
