Investigators say a motorcyclist found on Interstate 15 lost control and crashed.

Upon arriving at the scene, West Frontage Road north of the intersection with E Street in Victorville, a man was found lying on the west side of the highway.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, SBSD said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcyclist, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin, was traveling northbound on West Frontage Road when he lost control of his Yamaha YZF-R7 and crashed before ending up on the interstate.
It was not immediately known why he lost control.
Google Maps images show that for much of the frontage road, there is a thin wire fence and a patch of dirt, rocks and trees separating the road and highway lanes.
