San Francisco (Crohn– Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the Field Execution and Customs Field Office (ICE) in San Francisco on Tuesday to condemn the Trump administration’s deportation policies.
The demonstrators criticized Ice because of his tactics, including the detention of migrants and their deportation to countries that have not previously been previously. They demanded the return of the detained immigrants and the preservation of the unity of the family.
One of the demonstrators said: “We demand freedom, full return, and a safe return to all those who have disappeared by the ice.” “We demand the maintenance of our family unit. No more separation for our families.”
The clergy members have read statements from the families of 2000 immigrants in northern California who claim to have been arrested since the beginning of the year.
Mothers in the gathering shared emotional stories about their children being taken by the ice. One of the mother expressed her heartbreak, saying: “I really miss my son. When Roberto was arrested, they took a part of me. Since then, my heart breaks, hoping that my son will return to the house.”
The demonstrators also criticized the lack of legal procedures and the deportation of migrants to what they described as “third world prisons”.
Although ICE continues to be deported, demonstrators are still determined to combat policies until changes are managed.
