Bolder (KDVR) – The Lavaite family tells a flexibility story after it witnessed the terrorist attack in Bulder and helps in the wake of this.
Rachel Cohen and her family lived in Lavaite, but for more than a year, almost every Sunday, they went to Pearl Street to run for their path. Rachel firmly believes in standing on what she believes and learns her five children as it is; For this reason, walking was very important for them.
She says she did not ask her children to go, and two came only with last Sunday.
“I am a five -year -old, so whatever he was ready, we go, and my seven -year -old was 14 years old and she said.
She was walking along her normal way when Rachel says she noticed the attacker because of his strange bag, but she thought it should be a kind of maintenance factor. A few moments later, a wave of fire saw about 20 feet and her children.
“There was a crash and a scent of gasoline and fire, and I asked because I knew something wrong.” She said. “The worst woman was 88 years old. This was the first time she was going with us. There was on her birthday with her husband and realizing that my children could have been killed, and realizing that this happened here is incomprehensible in many ways.”
She held talks with her son, Baruch, before what to do in these situations, specifically after the shooting of the Israeli embassy in the capital, took him out of the road and left her daughter with him so that she could help.
“He went, went, searched for medical supplies, and searched for what he could do, and not close to the danger, which is exactly what I expected, and then people told me about how much people calm people.” She said.
Barush spoke with the first respondents when they arrived at the scene.
“I gave them a quick recklessness for the circumstances of the victims, how many are, where are they, the suspect, and only after that while running because I will not prevent them from the place they need.”
Her husband led the rest of the family after the attack to help and verify the family, including her son, who was shocked and still tried to understand.
“I just saw how big was and started crying because I thought,” How can anyone have such hatred for people to the point that he is throwing Molotov on a crowd of people who support what they think? “I was very afraid of knowing that someone could be very hostile.”
Despite the attack, Rachel says she and her family will be there to walk on Sunday, to continue standing with Israeli hostages and showing the elasticity of her children.
Rachel said: “I will not allow some people to do to do the right thing, which is the support of these people,” Rachel said.
