Goodwill stores were recently closed in VACAVILLE, Vallejo, Benicia and Hayward. The donation sites were closed in the Marina area in San Francisco, Walunte Kreik, Muraga, Rawd City, Wadi Mail and Westpuru.
In April, 90 Goodwill employees were demobilized after two sites were closed in the Gulf region. “More employees have been discharged as a result of the latest closing operations,” said Rodney Skiris, San Francisco by Bay, Rodney Skiris, San Francisco Pay Bay, Rodney Skiris, San Francisco Pay Bay Bay Paes.
“These updates aim to serve the local community more efficiently,” Skiris said. “However, some employee discounts occurred as a result. We are grateful to support our local team members in these sites and expanded the opportunity to apply for roles in alternative sites.”
Scearce said that closed sites were not burning in enough money to cover work expenses. The organization said it plans to open the new Gulf region stores in the future.
“Although there is never an easy decision, it has become necessary to close a few stores’ locations due to their size and operational restrictions, as store revenues were not enough to cover the operating costs and employees,” he said. “Our goal in the months and years in the coming years is to open new sites in the Gulf region bigger and more sustainable in financial terms.”
