A large group of people looted a store during a street acquisition in Long Beach early Monday morning.
Initial information indicates that the acquisition was first reported at about 1 am near Orange Street and Harding Street.
A video of the scene shows one car that makes several cakes with the crowd growth. By the time the police arrived at the scene, the crowd had already begun to dispersion, and one of the vehicles that exhausted the departure of the area were seen.
During the street acquisition, a group of people destroyed the glass store into the J&G market, which is located in the Orange and Harding angle, and began looting the store, according to initial reports.
Video footage recorded appears in the wake of the looting of broken glass and goods scattered in the front part of the store and inside it.
Speaking to Erin Myers from KTLA 5, business owners said that in all years of owning the market, nothing happened like this at all. One of them mentioned that although it was not immediately evident the amount of goods that were taken, it seemed as if “dozens” of people had forced their way to the store during the peak of the uproar.
One of the close residents has explained that such incidents affect everyone, including the respondents.
“I think there are only many people … you can not even reach and sometimes the police cannot even reach,” said Marti Johnson. They prohibit all traffic, and when they are [do that]People here can see. “
