Mexico City – Families were assembled outside hospitals outside hospitals waiting for the word lovers on Thursday after they were crashed and a carrier truck exploded a day before on a highway in Mexico, at least eight people were killed and 90 wounded.
The fire invaded more than twenty vehicles and left a gruesome scene of the burning survivors badly on the street in prosperous clothes, while the first respondents rushed to the scene. The person with second and third degree burns were injured.
The mayor of Mexico Clara Borujada said on Thursday that the death toll had risen to eight, with 67 others still in the hospital, 22 of a critical condition.
On Wednesday, the accident renewed attention to thousands of trucks flowing across the daily Mexico carrying liquid propane, on which most homes and companies are dependent on cooking and heating water heating.

The organizers said that a preliminary review revealed that the truck, which was carrying more than 13,000 gallons of gas, did not have an updated insurance, which allowed it to transport its shipment, which is what the company denied.
President Claudia Shinbom said on Thursday that she had issued instructions to her Minister of Energy to design new measures to make fuel transfer safer, but she did not provide details.
“Full Chaos”
Batorese Aguilar celebrated coffee outside a hospital in South Mexico City on Thursday morning, awaiting the news of her 15 -year -old son Adrian, who was besieged in the explosion on his way back home from school on a bus.
The last thing I heard from him was an audio note that he sent to a family group message saying he was transferred to the hospital and asked for help. She said she was defending the hospital and has not left since Wednesday afternoon.
On Thursday, the hospital corridors were where her son was treated in “complete chaos”.
Agilar was not physically able to speak to her son because of his injuries. She said she was very concerned about Adrian’s Ain and her face, which suffered from second -class burns.
She waited for her son to undergo surgery, but the doctors had to cut off his clothes first because they were stuck in his skin. She said, “I just hope it is fine.”
“A terrible accident”
External hospitals in Mexico City and southeast of the capital, neighbors and officials delivered food and water in solidarity with the victims. Pilar domínguez, 33, carry a bag of sweet bread.
Domingz, who lived next to the place where the accident occurred, was driving his car with her 9 -year -old daughter when she heard the explosion. I felt that the land was shaken and the surrounding area to the fire on Wednesday.
She said that she had seen crowds of people fleeing the scene and screaming, and she was trying to calm her daughter. One woman who runs with most of her skin and her hair remembers. Sheera was sent below the backbone of her while her car was full of smoke.
She said that she collapsed as she was crying when she finally arrived at home.
She said, “People were crying, screaming and fleeing.”
On Wednesday night, she and her husband collected money to buy bread and sweet coffee, which they started distributing to family members who were waiting outside hospitals throughout the city in search of news.
“It is a way to help, and also thank you that we are still alive,” she said.
Some of the injured suffered from burns more than 100 % of their bodies. Among the injured were a two -year -old child.
“This is a terrible accident,” said Borujada, who visited the scene. Shinbom, who writes on X, expressed her condolences to the families of those who died and thanked the emergency teams for their work.
It is not an isolated accident
The accident occurred on the highway in the densely populated area of Iztaba, in the east of Mexico. With emergency vehicles and physicians accelerating the injured, groups of neighbors ran to help withdraw the burning victims from the fire and reach safety.

Later, Silza Transport Company said in a statement that it had three current insurance policies to cover damages and victims, and that it was taking steps to support affected families.
The Federal Agency in charge of organizing industrial safety in the hydrocarbon sector said in a statement that Silza had not had been updated the required insurance papers to transport gas.
Silza did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.
There have been many incidents that involve carriers over the past decade.
In 2020, a dual tanker carrying liquid propane overturned on a highway in West Nayarete and killed 13 people when the fire extended to other vehicles.
In 2015, a prophet truck was leaks smaller than a delivery at a home hospital in Mexico to drop to the building and detonate most of it, killing five and wounding dozens.
