Metro school district undergoes mental health training as part of national project

Denver (KDVR) – A school area in the metro area was chosen for a national project that aims to better prepare school staff to deal with students in the mental health crisis.

The project is led before The American Academy for Assistants Doctors and Assistant Doctor Foundation.

Assistant doctor Kelly Cooper is training for Adams County County 14. Monday is the day of professional development for teachers, and they will participate in training focusing on the mental health of students.

The goal is to face the challenges of trauma or mental health that students may face in the classroom. The Denver Metro area was chosen as one of the four schools by the Training Corporation.

The program focuses on students’ enlightening care issues, mindset techniques, best -based and more evidence practices.

After training, doctors ’assistants will continue to work with schools in their societies to support students and their needs.

Adams City High School is the largest school in the region, serving more than 1500 students. Fox31 learned that 60 employees will be in training on Monday from 8 to 30:30 am
