(Krona) – On Thursday, two provinces in the Gulf region issued a list of potential exposure sites after the return of an adult from a positive international journey to the very infectious disease. The officials said that the person who had lived was not transferred to the hospital and is currently strengthening at home.
What is measles?
According to the American centers to control and prevent diseases, measles are a very infectious disease that can lead to serious complications. The disease can be dangerous, especially for children and young children.
Measles symptoms
Measles symptoms usually appear from 7 to 14 days after exposure to the virus. Symptoms usually begin with:
- High fever (may rise to more than 104 degrees)
- cough
- Running
- Water red eyes
Koplik spots, 2 to 3 days after the symptoms start
Small white spots, known as KOPLIK spots, may appear inside the mouth two to three days after the symptoms start.
Measles rash, 3 to 5 days after the symptoms start
The measles rash appears after three to five days of the first symptoms. The rash usually starts as flat red spots that appear on the face in Hairlines. According to the Center for Disease Control, they then spread down to the neck, trunk, arms, legs and feet.
High small bumps may also appear at the top of flat red spots. You may join the stains together while spreading from the head to the rest of the body.
When the rash appears, the patient’s fever may increase to more than 104 degrees.
Measles in the Gulf region
The Ministry of Public Health in the Santa Clara Province and the Public Health Department of the Alamida Province has issued a list of exposure sites for a potential group. They are as follows:
- May 21: H Mart, 1710 Auckland Street, San Jose, California – between 7:15 pm – 9 pm
- May 23: Starbucks, 35040 Newark Street, Newark, California – between 11:45 am – 2 pm
- May 25: Trader Joe’s, 1306 Great Mall Parkway, MilPitas, CA – between 4:45 pm – 8 pm
If you are not immune to measles, or are not sure of the vaccination status, she visited any of the above -mentioned sites on the dates and times referred to, officials recommend the following:
- Review your fortification records
- Contact the healthcare provider immediately
- Monitor symptoms for seven to 21 days
