AUSTIN (KXAN) – A routine traffic stop led to a drug bust after the Milam County Sheriff’s Office discovered “more than 100 grams of suspected methamphetamine.”
During the traffic stop, the Texas Department of Public Safety sent a request to the Sheriff’s Office for K9 assistance, according to an MCSO news release.
On October 10, around 11 a.m., MCSO Deputy Alex Infantino, along with a K9 Lexus deputy, responded to a traffic stop on US Route 77, just north of Minerva.

MCSO said the driver, 45-year-old Katrina Latulippe, “has an extensive drug-related criminal history.”
LaTulippe told officials she was headed to Rockdale from Cameron. She refused to search the vehicle, according to MCSO.
K9 Lexus then performed a “free air sniff” around the vehicle and sounded an alert. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed more than 112 grams of what appeared to be methamphetamine, according to MCSO.
Latilip was arrested and transported to the Milam County Jail on charges of Manufacture and Delivery of a Group 1 Controlled Substance, 4-200 Grams, the Sheriff’s Office said.
No further details were available on Tuesday.
