((Crohn– A stomach in the Marina area of San Francisco was officially closed this week after 16 years. The last day of Tipsy Pig on Sunday, May 25, the Foundation was announced on social media.
Tipsy Pig, located on 2231 Chestnut Street Street, was a stop for many Barhoppers District District over the years. Since its opening in 2009, it was among the sequences of the bars that gave the neighborhood into many of the nights of Friday and Saturday.
“We are really proud of Tipsy and we are grateful for the support we received from our amazing society,” wrote Tipsy Pig in Instagram. “Every meal, and every celebration, and make all the friendships made by Pig Pig a special place in our hearts.”
In her farewell message, Tipsy Pig also hinted to reopen it in a different location.
“While this chapter ends, we are excited about the possibilities awaiting us,” Tipsy Pig. “Stay tuned for updates about our future endeavors at 2231 Chestnut, and thank you for being part of our story. We hope to see you again soon!”
As of now, Tipsy Pig has not made plans for the audience. The work did not mention the reason for its closure.
Tipsy Pig fans were saddened by the news – some of them offer their favorite memories in Gastropub. “This is very sad! My husband and I met here,” a person wrote in the comments section of the Instagram farewell publication.

“I am very sad! We moved to the marina in 2010, a few months after you open you. You will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for all memories,” another person remembers.
The Foundation also hosted a number of sports watch parties in the Bay Area region – including the 2010 San Francisco Giants series.
