In the ever-turbulent world of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, loyalty counts for everything — and Margaret Josephs is showing exactly where hers lies. After Kathy Wakile publicly questioned Melissa Gorga’s timeline and intentions around a long-overdue family reconciliation, Josephs isn’t staying quiet — and she’s making it clear she’s “very disappointed” in Wakile.
Appearing on Page Six Radio, Margaret Josephs made it clear she was aware of the private lunch between Gorga and Wakile and defended Gorga’s silence. “I did know about that lunch,” Josephs said. “Melissa had told me, and Kathy told me because we go to the same hairdresser.”
The RHONJ star insisted Gorga wasn’t hiding anything for personal gain, but rather honoring a family request. “Melissa said to me, ‘Don’t tell anybody; Kathy asked me not to say anything,’” Josephs explained. “She was not going to use it for clout or to make a story about it.”

Instead, she characterized Melissa’s discretion as thoughtful, saying, “She was keeping silent because she was asked to keep silent” and that she was “respecting family boundaries.”
Josephs made it clear she was disappointed in how Wakile later spoke about the encounter publicly. “I don’t know why Kathy said that,” she said, adding, “I felt badly because I know Melissa was being kind by concealing the meet-up.” Josephs didn’t hold back, ultimately calling Wakile’s public criticism “very disappointing.”
The controversy stems from a July 2024 appearance Gorga made on Jeff Lewis Live, where she shared that Wakile and her husband, Rich, were building a house across the street from the Gorgas in Franklin Lakes. Melissa told Lewis she fantasized about her husband Joe running into his cousin and making amends — prompting Lewis to suggest she should take the first step. “I’m gonna do it,” Gorga said.
But Wakile quickly clapped back in her own Page Six Radio appearance, saying the comments were “strange” because the meeting had already happened. “We had already met and cleared the air,” she said. She took further issue with how Gorga portrayed the conversation, adding, “She made it seem like it was Jeff’s idea.”
When asked whether Gorga was motivated by potential storylines, Wakile didn’t mince words. “I think that could’ve been a really good part of it,” she said. “Could’ve been, like, potential storyline, but I’m not a storyline. I am my own life.”
It’s just the latest chapter in the ever-complicated Gorga-Wakile family saga — and with RHONJ’s cameras always rolling, don’t expect it to be the last.
