A suspect was arrested after a hours for hours after a fatal shooting in southern Los Angeles on Saturday.
Los Angeles police responded to a house near 23 Street and Armington Street in Jefferson Park around 1:30 pm
When the officers arrived, they found a victim of male dumped on the ground outside with a gunfire. As the police approached the victim, the male suspect began shooting them from inside the house.
“The officers had no choice but to decline,” said Bruce Bohannah, Los Angeles Police spokesman. “They tried again, but being dangerous as it is, they had to back down from this dangerous area and contain the scene.”
The police moved away from residency and contacted the members of the SWAT backup team. The authorities tried to contact the suspect, but he refused to cooperate and remained confined to the house for about eight hours.
He was detained shortly after 9 pm and was taken to hospital due to injuries. However, LAPD said it is unclear whether his injuries were caused by the shooting of the police or self -disposal.
The victim announced the death of the scene.
Neighbors Lindsay Benna from KTLA told the victim that she was trying to speak to a tenant in a house he owned when he was shot. The authorities did not confirm that the details or provided a motive behind the deadly shooting.
The police are looking for additional victims who may have been threatened by the suspect. The identities of the suspect or the victim’s identities have not been released.
No injuries to officers or passers -by were reported during the confrontation. The area will remain closed for several hours, as the police are investigating the scene on Saturday evening.
