(KON)-The Richmond Police Department said a pistol equipped with an illegal attachment gave a machine-likened fire-like fire seized during a traffic station in the eastern Gulf on Sunday.
The officers in the southern province of the ministry were in a patrol when they coincided with two men driving in a car with a registration that expired. The officers stopped the car and found a possible reason to search the car.
During the search, the officers found two loaded pistols. The Richmond Police Administration said that both pistols were illegally equipped with extended magazines, and one of the weapons had the ability to launch it as an automatic weapon.
“One of the firearms was equipped with an extended magazine and an illegal transfer device that allowed it to be fully launched with the individual press of the operator, similar to the machine gun,” the Richmond Police Department wrote on social media.
Both men were arrested. He claims that the driver gave a fake name to the police during detention. More investigations showed that the man has a prominent matter. Richmond police said the passenger had three orders outside the country with alerts that he was known to carry weapons.
Both suspects were booked on arms -related charges, including a machine gun.
“This incident highlights the ongoing efforts made by the weekend and Richmond police department to reduce violence and remove illegal firearms from the streets of Richmond,” said RPD.
