Los Angeles Lakers Make Bronny James Announcement Before Celtics Game

On Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers will play the Boston Celtics (at home) in California.

The Lakers are coming off a 125-122 victory over the Clippers (also at home).

Luka Dončić led the way with 38 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and one block while shooting 11/25 from the field and 8/14 from three-point range in 38 minutes of playing time.

Bronny James missed their victory over the Clippers, as he was on a G League assignment with South Bay.

For Sunday’s game, the Lakers are also expected to remain without Bronny, as they announced that he has been ruled out on the injury report (G League).

Bronny has been unable to land a consistent spot in the rotation through his first two NBA seasons.

Right now, the former USC guard is averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range in 29 games.

He was the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball.

The Lakers come into the day as the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-21 record in 55 games.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games (and won two in a row).

Following the Celtics, the Lakers will play their next game on Tuesday when they host the Orlando Magic in Los Angeles.

At home, they are 16-10 in 26 games.

As for the Celtics, they come into play as the second seed in the Eastern Confernece with a 36-19 record in 55 games.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games (and have won two in a row).

Most recently, the Celtics beat the Golden State Warriors (at the Chase Center) by a score of 121-110.

Following the Lakers, they will play their next game on Tuesday night when they visit the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.
