A Los Angeles County man was arrested for attempted murder after a stabbing attack left a man hospitalized.
The suspect was identified as Ricardo Castro, 51, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
On March 16, deputies responded to the 29000 block of Mira Loma Drive in Temecula at around 9:18 a.m.
Arriving deputies found the male victim suffering from traumatic stab wounds. The suspect had fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition. Detectives later identified Castro as the suspect in the stabbing attack.
With help from the Riverside County Gang Impact Team and Special Enforcement Bureau K9 Team, Castro was located in a vacant field area in Temecula and was arrested for attempted murder.
“The incident was determined to be related to domestic violence,” authorities said.
The circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under investigation. Deputies did not release information on how the victim was known to Castro.
