Longmont fire stations begin accepting bike donations on Wednesday

KDVR – A child gets his first bike is an essential day in their lives. On the day they can finally travel quickly faster than running on their own – it has a rush.

If you want to be a person who helps in providing this opportunity for the child, the LongMont fire stations accept donations for children’s bikes that will be repaired and given to other children in the spring.

The only final rule is that the bike’s wheel sizes should range from 12 inches to 24 inches, but job bikes, even those with flat tires, prefer.

Once donated, a group of volunteers will prepare bikes to redistribute them when the weather will rise next year.
