Austin – Texas added depth to the Gorsbbeber Hall on Sunday with Matthew Caldwell’s commitment to Troy.
CALDWELL has one year of eligibility after using the Redshirt season as a student in Jacksonville. Texas will be his fourth school. After his red year, he played two seasons in the FCS Gardner-WEBB program and then went to TRY for a season.
CALDWELL Trojan has led 1,608 yards and 13 touches of land, and complete 141 out of 223 pass attempts. The last five games of the 2024 season started and played in 10, and got the beginning against Iowa.
With Arch Manning as a team midfielder, CaldWell can provide a veteran presence with a FBS experience in the room to help Redshirt Trey Owens and True Freshman KJ Lacey. Also, if Manning is declining at some point, CaldWell can jump and use some of this experience. Caldwell joins the atmosphere of Tatom on the list as well.
