Austin (KXAN) – The University of Texas designs future cars. On Saturday, April 19, three models of vehicles will be published to the public Longhorn race a team.
Three teams will compete from the student’s separation in the Formula Association for the American Auto Engineers and the UT Austin to build three types of cars: the combustion engine, electricity and solar -powered car.
The three vehicles will participate in many competitions, including Formula Sun Grand Prix and Race Formula Sae.
The Longhorn Racing burning team, sponsored by Chevkcxron, was present for a longer period. Founded the team Say format a race. The student design competition aims to have racing cars similar to the design of the teams.
Under the sponsorship of the Santander team, the Longhorn Racing Solar team is one of the oldest student engineering teams on the campus, according to its website. Established in 1988. Longhorn Racing Electric teaches students how to design EVS. This team also participates in Formula Sae, but in the Electric Energy Contest.
