The Fourth of July is synonymous with American patriotism. Americans spend time with family and remember the military that fought for independence.
While Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs wasn’t with his family for the occasion, he celebrated Independence Day with his girlfriend, Nicole Anderson, who has been his biggest supporter since getting drafted in 2023.

Nicole shared a series of pictures from the celebrations in an Instagram post on Saturday, July, and the couple could be spotted on a trip somewhere in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, possibly on Lake Tuscaloosa.
Three female friends and Gibbs accompanied Nicole, and the group donned American flag-themed swimwear to celebrate Independence Day. The girls also wore matching “Miss America” caps.
“Same time next year 🫐🍓🤍,” Nicole captioned the post.
Nicole has been by Gibbs’ side every step of the way since the Lions drafted the running back 12th overall in 2023. She’s often present at the Lions’ games and even pulls up in custom game day outfits for her boyfriend.
During the Week 12 game last season, Nicole wore a cozy yet chic outfit that consisted of a Lions-themed tracksuit. Explaining the outfit, she wrote, “The Front of the zip-up says Gibbs and the back of the pants says Detroit.”
Thanks to Nicole’s unwavering support, Gibbs has had an electric start to his NFL career. He made the Pro Bowl as a rookie after rushing for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns in addition to recording 52 catches for 316 yards and a touchdown.
The 23-year-old made the Pro Bowl yet again in 2025 after putting up 1,412 yards and 16 touchdowns in addition to 517 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He was the co-rushing touchdown leader alongside Saquon Barkley last season, and if he puts up yet another similar season in 2025, Gibbs is in line to become one of the top three highest-paid running backs in the league.
Gibbs and Nicole’s Relationship Timeline
Gibbs and Nicole haven’t opened up about how or when their relationship started yet. However, social media has hinted at their relationship since early 2023.
Nicole is currently 23 years old. She graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., with a bachelor’s degree in social work and has successfully made a career in real estate.
She is a real estate agent and a social media influencer with over 130,000 followers. Apart from helping people find their dream apartments, she also helps them build a perfect wardrobe by sharing her unique perspective on fashion and her choices with them.
According to her Instagram bio, Nicole is half Swedish and half Korean. Her various traveling posts say that she loves to explore new places every now and then, especially with the Lions’ running back.
