Lil Wayne’s long-awaited album Tha Carter VI has finally arrived and it’s a family affair.
Released on June 6, 2025, the 19-track project features an impressive lineup of guest artists including Kodak Black, Bono, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s sons, Kameron and Neal Carter a.k.a Lil Novi.
Kameron Carter, Wayne’s son with actress Lauren London, teams up with his dad on the song “Rari.”
The 15-year-old began showing interest in music years ago and made his debut in 2020 on Wayne’s No Ceilings 3 mixtape alongside his younger brother, Neal.
Neal Carter, Wayne’s son with singer Nivea, appears on the track “Mula Komin In.”
Performing under the name Lil Novi, Neal is carving out a lane of his own.
In 2023, he dropped two EPs—Bat Kave and B4 The albVm—and has kept fans locked in with a string of 2025 singles, including “Level Up 2,” “2 KOOL 4 SKOOL,” and “Take A Step.”
Earlier this year, a video of Novi performing “Take A Step” went viral. In the video, Wayne could be seen proudly hyping up his son from the sidelines.
“I just think it’s a good look and boost for my career having my dad being in the video,” Novi shared with iHeartRadio. “It will get more people’s attention and make them actually tap into my music—not just because of my dad, but because of me and actual curiosity in my music.”
Tha Carter VI marks Lil Wayne’s first solo release in five years, and nearly seven years since Tha Carter V. To celebrate, he’ll perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City tonight, followed by a North American tour kicking off June 30.
Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., is a proud father of four kids: Reginae Carter (with Toya Johnson), Dwayne Carter III (with Sarah Vivan), Kameron Carter, and Neal Carter. Neal and Kameron were born just two months apart in 2009.
