Lethal removal of wolf postponed due to Rio Blanco County wildfires

Denver (KDVR) – Three events are forced into the letter caused by the unaccounted wolf in Rio Blanco Parks and wildlife to kill the wolf, but the last large forest fires in the northwest of Colorado may postpone the ability of CPW to target the wolf, according to a press statement from the agency on Tuesday.

The three DEREDEDENE events took place in:

  • July 20
  • July 22
  • August 2

CPW said that one of them was ruled by a wolf with “clear and convincing” evidence, while the other two were judging that they were “many evidence.”

This was fulfilled by CPW definition criteria for chronic deprivation.

After the first war operation on July 20, the agency works with producers and local wool associations to provide passenger patrols around the clock throughout the week that would use non -fatal ways to try to get the wolf to leave the area.

CPW said that all the incidents of criticism and attempts to remove non -failed removal led to the decision to kill the wolf.

However, the agency cannot approach the wolf because of my fires in the large forests that burn more than 20,000 acres in Rio Blanco and forced the evacuation in the area.

“This is a set of truly unprecedented conditions, my ideas with firefighters and emergency respondents who are working to reduce damage to Rio Blanco, as well as producers and CPW employees,” Jeff Davis, CPW director, said in a press statement.

CPW said it was monitoring the fire and coordinating with emergency services to continue to prevent fires during fire activity.
