Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey is set to confront three additional civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault at London’s High Court next year, marking another chapter in the legal battles that have overshadowed his career since 2017.
Three men have filed separate claims against the 66-year-old actor over allegations spanning from 2000 to 2013, a period that coincides with his tenure as artistic director of the Old Vic theatre. At a preliminary hearing on Wednesday (November 26, 2025), Judge Christina Lambert set a provisional trial date of October 12, 2026, though it remains undecided whether the cases will be heard together or consecutively.

The allegations paint a troubling picture of the actor’s time at the prestigious London theater. One claimant alleges that Spacey “deliberately assaulted” him on 12 occasions between 2000 and 2005. Another man claims he met Spacey through an Old Vic workshop and “suffered psychiatric damage and other financial loss” from an alleged assault in August 2008.
Among those bringing claims is actor Ruari Cannon, who has waived his right to anonymity. Cannon appeared in the 2024 Channel 4 documentary Spacey Unmasked and alleges the actor groped him at a party in 2013 following a production at the Old Vic. The other two claimants have been granted anonymity by the court.

Kevin Spacey has consistently denied all allegations against him. The actor has formally denied two of the three civil claims in court but has not yet filed a defense for the third. Following the documentary’s release, Spacey took to social media, stating: “Each time I have been given the time and a proper forum to defend myself, the allegations have failed under scrutiny and I have been exonerated.”
This latest legal action follows Spacey’s acquittal in July 2023, when a London jury cleared him of nine criminal sexual offense charges brought by four men. Two of the current civil claimants were involved in that earlier case, which had put one man’s 2022 civil lawsuit on hold.

The actor’s legal troubles began in 2017 amid the #MeToo movement and have effectively ended his Hollywood career. Despite his 2023 criminal acquittal and a 2022 New York civil case where he was found not liable for allegations brought by actor Anthony Rapp, Spacey has struggled to rebuild his professional life.
The upcoming London trial represents yet another test for the former artistic director as he attempts to defend his reputation. With a provisional three-week window allocated for the proceedings, the case is expected to draw significant attention when it reaches court in October 2026.
