Austin – The day of an annual celebration should have turned into a tragedy where severe storms overnight caused the killing of floods on Independence Day at least 24 in Kiir Province and left more than 20 missing little girls.
Camp Mestic, a private Christian summer camp for girls sitting next to the Guadalobi River, was flooded with water during the storm event on July 4, causing several inches of rain and river levels.
Early today, the camp officials issued a statement to the parents, “If your daughter is not calculated, you have been fell down,” while girls were found in parts of the camp.
At a press conference, the Kiir Rob Kelly County judge answered questions about those who did not say, “We know that there are some missing persons. We know where some of them were. They were cut off, and we are working to confirm this with people in the Mystic camp.”
On the page of the Kerv’s Sharif County Office on Facebook, parents are posting in the hope of finding their children.
“Please post this if you can. You are still looking for the precious Molly and many other Sophie girls,” one of them wrote on the Facebook page.
The members of the La Jonta camp, a camp for children in Hunt, Texas, were also affected by the flood of Independence Day.
Tercy Thorne asked about an honorable section, “My son is in the La Jonta camp without strength, 75 % of the camps, and the children are afraid and limited of food and water, and the roads are blocked. Will they send them help soon?”
