Katie Ginella Admits She ‘Cried’ and ‘Rotted in Bed for Weeks’ After RHOC Cast EXPOSED Her as a Liar!

Katie Ginella is still reeling from her disastrous lie detector party — and she’s spilling how bad it really got behind the scenes.

“The truth of the matter is … I was gutted,” Katie, 41, confessed to Us Weekly ahead of the August 28th episode. “I was saying to my husband last night, I was like, ‘Thank you for letting me rot in bed for a few weeks.’ I was just so emotional about leaving.”

What was supposed to be a “fun” party hosted by Emily Simpson, 49, turned into Katie’s worst nightmare when a lie detector test exposed inconsistencies in her stories. Emily flat-out asked her to leave. Katie stood firm on camera: “No one is going to believe me but I can lay my head at night knowing I told the truth. This might be the last time anyone sees me with this group of women.”

Katie says the biggest misconception is that she’s some villain scheming behind the scenes. “That I’m a plotter and a planner and I’m just spreading a web of lies with everyone,” she insisted. “I don’t think I’m capable of that.”

After the brutal episode aired, Katie broke down the aftermath during an Instagram Q&A. “After that party was filmed I cried for days,” she revealed. “And every time a certain person’s name was brought up, I broke down. But I have a super supportive family and great friends. I finally slept an entire night on Thursday night!!!”

One fan asked if she still speaks to anyone from the cast — and Katie made it clear there’s just one. “[Tamra Judge] and I speak and I’m very thankful,” she admitted. But when asked if others reached out amid all the public support, Katie’s reply was cold: “No. But some housewives from other franchises have. And it’s very kind.”

Despite the tears, Katie says she’s not hiding. When asked if she’ll show up at BravoCon, she shot back: “I’ll be there.”

Meanwhile, Emily defended her decision to put Katie through the hot-seat: “I would say that the lie detector test actually was necessary,” she told Us Weekly. “Every conversation was just, ‘Yes, you did. No, I didn’t.’ … I think it affects the rest of the season.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
