Justice Department to begin giving Congress files from Jeffrey Epstein investigation, lawmaker says

Washington – The Ministry of Justice has agreed to provide Congress documents from the investigation of the Jeffrey Ibstein for sex trafficking, one of the main legislators in the House of Representatives said on Monday in announcing a step that appears to be avoiding, at least temporarily, a possible separation of the authorities.

The records that start on Friday must be transferred to the House of Representatives Supervision Committee, which issued earlier this month a widespread summons of the Ministry of Justice on a criminal case that has long been entered into public attention, and recently issued the most important grades in President Donald Trump’s administration and was a steady magnet for conspiracy theories.

“There are many records in the custody of the Ministry of Justice, and it will take time to produce all records and ensure the identification of the victims and any sexual abuse of children,” MP James Kumler, Chairman of the Republican Committee, said in a statement. “I can adhere to the Trump administration to the transparency and efforts made to provide the American people with information on this.

Epsin, a rich and well connected financier, was found dead in the New York prison cell weeks after his arrest in 2019, while investigators ruled suicide. In 2021, his ex -girlfriend was convicted of Gisslene Maxwell, with the help of teenage girls in a sexual temptation and a 20 -year prison sentence.

The House of Representatives Committee was called to call all documents and communications from the cases of the Ipstein and Maxwell case. It also demanded records on communications between the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden and the Ministry of Justice in relation to Ibstein, as well as documents related to the former federal investigation in Epstein in Florida, which led to an illegal agreement.

It was not exactly clear, that is, or the number of documents that can be produced or whether cooperation with Congress reflects a wider change in the situation since last month, when the FBI and the Ministry of Justice suddenly announced that it will not issue any additional records of Epstein after specifying “the lack of more disclosure will be appropriate or necessary.”

This announcement has put the Trump administration on the defense, as officials have since been scrambling to rid the angry questions of the president’s base and also show transparent.

The Deputy Prosecutor Todd Blanche held an interview with Maxwell in a two -day court in Florida’s court in Florida’s court in the past month – although there are no records of those talks in public – and the Ministry of Justice has also sought to cancel the provisions of the Great Persons Authority in Epsin and Maxwell, although these requests have been rejected so far.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice refused to comment on Monday.

The House of Representatives Supervision Committee has issued summonses to eight former law enforcement leaders as well as former Democratic President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Bill Clinton was among a number of familiar stars on Epsin before the criminal investigation against him in Florida was two decades ago. Clinton has never been accused of violations by any of the women who say Epstein abuse.
