Jordan Chiles’ mother, Gina Chiles, reacted to the gymnast resuming her collegiate career in full swing after the conclusion of DWTS. Chiles returned to UCLA after the Paris Olympics and proved at this year’s NCAA Championships what makes her stand out.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist has consistently proven herself to be a strong presence both on and off the mat, having recently participated in DWTS, where she was partnered with professional dancer Ezra Sosa. The duo danced their way to the finale, winning hearts and two perfect scores, and finishing in third place.

Chiles will join the Bruins squad for the college program’s annual pre-season, free exhibition event, Meet The Bruins, where fans will have the opportunity to get a peek into how the upcoming gymnastics season will look in terms of performances and team introductions. The UCLA Instagram account posted an official team photo and announced that the event will take place at Pauley Pavilion on Dec. 13, 2025.
Chiles’ mother shared the official post on her Instagram story and hyped her daughter and the Bruins, saying:

The Olympian, who was part of the US gymnastics team’s gold-medal-winning performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, took a mindful break from elite gymnastics. In the meantime, she endorsed several brands, especially Nike, which became her apparel partner in most of her off-mat outings. The 24-year-old also made her Sports Illustrated cover girl debut, joining three other prominent women.

Chiles returned to UCLA for the 2024-25 season and was a formidable competitor at the Championships. She earned the individual uneven bars title and helped her college team finish in second place with her highest all-around score of the night (39.770).

On ‘Wicked Night’ in DWTS, the Olympian and her partner Sosa set the floor ablaze with their performance on ‘For Good’ from Wicked. The routine earned them their first perfect 10 and garnered reactions from Chiles’ mother. She shared the update on Instagram and expressed that the ’10s’ looked like the scoreboard at the NCAA Nationals.
Chiles went through a dark phase after the 2024 Paris Olympics, as she had to give up the first individual bronze medal she earned on floor exercise following a score review. The medal was returned to the Romanian gymnast who had initially won it.
