Joe Gorga Says He’s Ready to Forgive and Reconcile with Teresa Giudice: ‘We Can Move Forward’
After years of public tension, it looks like The Real Housewives of New Jersey siblings Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga may finally be ready to talk.
Joe confirmed during an appearance on The Eds Podcast that his estranged sister recently reached out in hopes of reconciling. “She did text me. She reached out,” Joe, 51, shared on Tuesday, October 14. “She would like to sit down and meet.”
Calling himself a “good brother,” Joe said he’s open to hearing Teresa out — but only if the conversation comes from a genuine place. “I’ve never wanted to argue with her ever. It was not my intention,” he explained. “If I sit down with her and I hear her out, it has to be very humble. It has to be real. It has to be, you know, ‘I’ve made mistakes,’ and we can move forward.”
When cohost Eddie Judge asked whether Teresa’s timing might be a calculated move to get back on RHONJ, Joe sidestepped the speculation, saying, “I don’t know, man. We’re men, right? I support my wife. I support my children. I’ve supported my parents. I support my siblings. I support everybody.”
Still, Joe made it clear that he’s ready to let go of the grudge if Teresa apologizes. “I got a good heart,” he said. “I’d rather not argue or hold a grudge the rest of my life, for what? So we’ll see.”
Teresa, 52, recently told the I Do, Part 2 podcast that she wants to “meet” and “speak” with Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, after years of estrangement. “Time does heal all wounds,” she said. “And when time goes by, you forget things.”
The mother of four — who shares Gia, 24, Gabriella, 21, Milania, 19, and Audriana, 16, with ex-husband Joe Giudice — added that she wants to “be a good example” for her daughters. “If someone doesn’t get along, be the bigger person. Try to make it work. I’ve got to practice what I preach.”
Melissa, however, admitted she finds Teresa’s change of heart “strange.” “The truth is, for the last year, the door has been closed,” she said on Virtual Reali-Tea in September. “She’s said out loud on multiple platforms … that the door is closed. So I’m just confused why it might be opening or cracking a little bit.”
Despite the skepticism, Joe said Melissa has “a heart of gold” and has “forgiven [his] sister many times.” He added, “She loves me. She loves our family. She’s not here to teach our children to hate.”
Fans are split over the possible reunion. Some believe Teresa’s attempt to reconnect is genuine and long overdue, while others think it’s strategic. Some fans also believe that Teresa and Joe’s sudden truce might be financially motivated — suggesting the siblings could be reuniting to secure their spots (and steady paychecks) on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
