The beloved RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar Jinkx Monsoon will step into the spotlight as ‘Mary Todd Lincoln’ in the Tony Award-winning sensation Oh, Mary! on Broadway starting August 4, for a special limited engagement through September 27. The show has now extended its magical run through January 4, 2026.
Monsoon, who’s currently stealing scenes in Pirates! The Penzance Musical, until July 27, has also wowed audiences as Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago and charmed as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors Off-Broadway opposite Corbin Bleu.
Monsoon said: “Now — I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Cole Escola is the funniest person alive. Oh, Mary! is one of the best, funniest, most energizing things I’ve seen in my life. To be invited to live in this playground for a time is not only an honor and a privilege, but a lovely chance to showcase the writing talents of one friend, the directorial talents of another, and everything else that comes with this singular production. Happy to trade in one pair of bloomers for another.”
As previously revealed, playwright, original star, and Tony Award winner Cole Escola will take their final bow on June 21, while six-time Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) returns for a special six-week encore from June 23 through August 2.
Original cast members Conrad Ricamora, James Scully, Bianca Leigh, and Tony Macht will continue their runs through August 2.
