Jeffco rock throwing witness fights tears describing his involvement in death of woman

Golden, Colorado (KDVR)-A witness erupted in the trial of Jefferson Province on Friday.

This witness was sitting in the front seat of the truck from which the rocks that hit and killed Alexa Bartel in Jefferson Province.

Nicholas Carole Check said he is an intimate friend of the defendant who is attesting to him.

The court heard an emotional description of the moments before this rock and killed Bartel.

Carroll Chic was one of three high schools who were in a truck from which the rocks were thrown, and he said he helped reach Joseph Quinig, who was charged with a first -class killing of Parthyl.

“(Quinig) was his right hand on the wheel, and he arrived through his body with his left hand to seize the rock from the central console,” said Carol Chic.

During this part of his testimony, Carroll Chekk fought tears.

“At that point, his window was already rolled. So, when the car approached us, he threw it from the car,” Carroll Chic said.

Rock music struck a Bartel car that night on a few -populated road in Jefferson Province in April 2023.

Karol-Chic acknowledged that he was guilty of a second-degree murder and agreed to testify against Koenig, who said he was a “brother.”

Koinig’s defense lawyer asked why Carroll Cheek had previously lied to the investigators, saying that another teenager was in the truck, Zakari Kwak, who threw the stone. Defense lawyer also asked Carol Check if he was desperate to get a deal.

Carroll Check emotioned again when he described the return to the scene to find out where the Bartel stopped.

The jury was rejected late on Friday afternoon to spend the weekend.
