The video introduces Clarke as a U.S. marshal tasked with hunting down the convicts who had escaped into the Alaskan wilderness after their plane crashed down. One of the missing convicts is a high-profile inmate who starts threatening Clarke’s character by playing mind games with him. The trailer also highlights the chaos that this incident has brought to the town.

The Last Frontier is created, written, and executive-produced by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio. The ensemble cast also includes Dominic Cooper (The Gold), Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), and Tait Blum (For All Mankind), with Academy Award Nominee and multi-Emmy winner Alfre Woodard (Clemency). In addition to leading the cast, Clarke is also serving as an executive producer alongside Laura Benson, Glenn Kessler, Albert Kim, and series episodic director Sam Hargrave (Extraction).

“The show follows Frank Remnick, the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s jurisdiction is turned upside-down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates,” reads the synopsis. “Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident, but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.”
