'It's sobering' volunteers search debris for bodies in Kerr County

Centra Point, Texas (KXAN) – While local, state and federal origins were active throughout the center of Texas in the aftermath of the deadly floods on Friday, volunteers help in the efforts made through the first respondents.

“There was concern about the presence of a corpse in the wreckage pile,” Volord said. “It is definitely a realistic idea. You know that either a person you know or a child you know, so you know it will definitely be great.”

Center Point was also a key site for various search and rescue efforts on Sunday. It is in the direction of the river course from where the floods began.

According to the latest update on Sunday, the death toll was 68 years in CARE, including 28 children. Some of the victims are still not recognized, and the total number of people is unknown.

“We are only here to serve and make sure everyone recovered, so that we can give these families some closure. This is where my mind is.”
