Katy Perry‘s recent career trajectory has been hitting some serious snags. The pop star’s latest ventures have faced intense backlash from both critics and fans. Her single “Woman’s World” was absolutely torn apart by reviewers. Her latest album, 143, faced similar harsh criticism. Social media had a field day mocking her dance moves on tour. And let’s not even get into that bizarre space adventure that made headlines.
Adding to her professional woes, whispers are circulating that her relationship with Orlando Bloom might be reaching its finale.
The “I Kissed a Girl” singer and the Pirates of the Caribbean star have reportedly separated. “They’ve grown apart and aren’t living the same lives anymore,” an insider told Us Weekly. Another source added that part of the strain comes from Perry’s busy schedule, which includes working and touring. The negative reception to Perry’s recent endeavors also reportedly contributed to the stress on their relationship. “Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension,” a source told PEOPLE.

“They’re pretty much done,” another source tells PEOPLE, adding that they “don’t really see them being able to turn things around here.”
The source adds, “It’s been breaking down the last couple of months and isn’t looking good.”
Perry, 40, is currently on the road for her Lifetimes world tour, and insiders say she and Bloom have different visions for their futures.
“This comeback means a lot to her. She wants to give fans the best show,” a second source tells PEOPLE of Perry, who’s currently touring Australia. “She’s happy and just focused on her tour. Her daughter [Daisy Dove, 4½] is with her and they’re sightseeing and having fun.”

While the couple hasn’t publicly addressed their relationship status, Bloom dropped a hint about personal changes during his June 10 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Appearing with his puppy Biggie Smalls, Bloom shared, “He’s a real emotional support animal. Because I’m very emotional right now.” He followed with a laugh, adding, “Sitting here.”
Despite their nearly decade-long relationship and sharing a four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, the pair has remained engaged since 2019 without setting a wedding date. According to Us Weekly, Bloom is “over it.”
Social media reactions have been unsympathetic. One Reddit user commented on the rumors, “Any engagement longer than a year or two is ‘engaged to break up,’ not engaged to be married.”
