Israel-Iran update: Israeli defense minister warns ‘Tehran will burn’ if Iran continues firing missiles

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – On Saturday, the Israeli Defense Minister warned that “Tehran will burn” if Iran continues to launch missiles on Israel after at least three people died and dozens were wounded on Saturday morning, following a series of strong Israeli attacks on the heart of the Iranian nuclear program and its armed forces.

Speaking after an evaluation meeting with the Army Chief of Staff, Israel Defense Minister Katz said that Iran would pay a heavy price to harm Israeli citizens.

“If (Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali) continues to launch missiles on the Israeli home front – Tehran will burn,” Katz said.

Iranian government television online reported that air defenses were shooting in the cities of Korramabad, Kermanshah and Tabriz, indicating the beginning of what could be a new Israeli attack. Black -smoke shots from the city showed. An Israeli military official said on Saturday that the army was ready to carry out more strikes in Iran, saying: “This has not ended.” He spoke on the condition that his identity is not disclosed in line with official procedures.

Iran has taken revenge on the launch of drones and ballistic missiles in Israel, where the explosions lit up the night sky on Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and shook the buildings below. The Israeli army urged the civilians, who have already shook 20 months of the war in Gaza, which was ignited by the Hamas attack on October 7, to go to shelter for hours.

Both Israel and Iran said that their attacks will continue, which raises the possibility of another conflict in the east in the east. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that his goal is to eliminate any Iranian threat to Israel, but he also urged the Iranians to rise against their leaders. Israel will welcome the overthrow of the government even if it is not looking for it.

Strikes can hinder nuclear talks

Israel’s strikes also put more talks between the United States and Iran on a nuclear agreement in doubt before meeting on Sunday in Amman. Government television said that the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman described other nuclear talks with the United States “meaningless” after the Israeli strikes in the country.

“The United States has made the talks becoming meaningless,” Asemil Bajia was quoted as saying. He added that Israel has gone through all Iranian red lines by committing a “criminal act” through its strikes.

“We will not allow them to escape safely from this great crime he committed.”

Iran launched missile waves in Israel late on Friday and early Saturday. On Saturday, the Iranians woke up to the broadcast of government television repeated clips of strikes on Israel, as well as videos of people who chant and distribute sweets. The Israeli army said that more drones were intercepted near the Dead Sea early on Saturday.

The strikes raise fears of a comprehensive war

The ongoing air strikes of Israel and Iran’s revenge raised concerns about the comprehensive war between countries and the region, already on the brink of the abyss, has sparked a greater revolution. The 20 -month Israel war with Gaza does not show any signs of the end. At least 27 people of Israeli strikes were killed in Gaza during the night on Friday, according to local hospitals.

The countries of the region condemned the Israeli attack, while leaders all over the world called for immediate disposal of both sides.

Israel has long threatened such a strike, and the successive American administrations have sought to prevent it, for fear that they would ignite the broader conflict in the Middle East and may be ineffective in destroying the dispersed and Iranian nuclear program.

However, the convergence of the developments resulting from Hamas on October 7, 2023, an attack – in addition to the re -election of US President Donald Trump – created the circumstances that Israel had recently followed its threats. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the United States was informed before the attack.

On Thursday, Iran was oversight by the United Nations Atoms of the Atomic Supervision Authority for not compliance with the obligations aimed at preventing it from developing a nuclear weapon.

The section above the ground was destroyed by the Natanz facility

Among the main sites attacked by Israel is the main nuclear enrichment facility in Iran in Natanz, where black smoke can be seen rising in the air. It also appears to be a second smaller nuclear enrichment facility in Fordo, about 100 km (60 miles) southeast of Tehran, according to an Iranian news outlet near the government that reported hearing near explosions.

Israel said it also struck a nuclear research facility in Salach, and said it had destroyed dozens of radar facilities and surface missile launchers in western Iran. Iran confirmed the strike in my conversion.

Raphael Grossi, head of the United Nations Security Council, stated that the above part of the Natanz facility has been destroyed. He said that the main centrifuge underground does not seem to be beaten, but the loss of power could have damaged the infrastructure there.

Netanyahu said the attack was months of making it and was planned in April before it was postponed.

The Israeli spy agency Moussad put drones and accurate weapons inside Iran early, and used them to target Iranian air defenses and missile launchers near Tehran, according to two security officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

These claims could not be independently confirmed.

Over the past year, Israel targeted Iranian air defenses, and hit a Russian air defense radar system in April 2024, surface missile sites and missile manufacturing facilities in October.

The first wave of strikes gave Israel “great freedom” in the sky of Iran, which led to further attacks, according to an Israeli military official, provided that his identity was not disclosed because he was not authorized to discuss the details of the attack with the media.

The official said that Israel is ready for a process that could last for up to two weeks, but there was no fixed timetable.

Among the dead were three senior military commanders in Iran: the person who supervised the entire armed forces, General Muhammad Baghri; The person who led the semi -military revolutionary guards, General Husen Salami; And the head of the ballistic missile program for the guard, General Amir on the barn.

Iran was also killed on Saturday: Two deputies of Baghri were killed on Saturday: General Golarmera Mehrabi, Deputy Intelligence for General Services of the Armed Forces, and General Mahdi Rabbani, Deputy Operations.

On Saturday, Khameneni appointed a new commander of the Revolutionary Guards Revolutionary Space Department. General Majid Mossafi will replace General Amir on his barn, who was killed in the air strike on Friday. The goalkeeper’s air space department oversees Iran’s ballistic arsenal.

On Friday, Trump urged Iran to reach an agreement with the United States on its nuclear program, as it warned of the social truth platform that Israel’s attacks “will get worse.”

“Iran should make a deal, before there is nothing,” he wrote.
