Inside Dolph Lundgren, Emma Krokdal’s Summer Plans (EXCL)

Dolph Lundgren and his much younger wife, Emma Krokdal, have been packing on the PDA in recent beach snaps. A source exclusively tells Closer the pair are more in love than ever as they look forward to a romance-filled summer and make plans to celebrate the model’s upcoming 30th birthday in style.

“Dolph has rented a massive yacht to sail the Mediterranean. It’s something he does almost every summer, but this year he went all out and got an even bigger yacht than he usually does,” the insider says. “They’re going to be cruising the Greek islands and will spend a few days in Mykonos partying.”

The source adds that Dolph, 67, has “invited a bunch of Emma’s friends to join them in July for a week to celebrate” her milestone birthday. His daughters, Ida Sigrid Lundgren and Greta Eveline Lundgren, whom he shares with ex-wife Anette Qviberg, “are going to go too.”

“Before they set sail on the yacht trip, Dolph and Emma will be going to see her family in Norway to celebrate her birthday with them. He’s also planning to surprise her with a stop in Paris for the two of them, so she can go on a big birthday shopping spree,” the insider continues.

“Dolph adores Emma. She brings him so much happiness and has been such a huge support for him during his health challenges,” the source concludes. “He can’t wait to surprise her for her birthday and show her how much she means to him.”

The Rocky IV star met his wife at West Hollywood Equinox, as he revealed in a May 2023 interview.

“I was looking for the boxing room, and I just grabbed somebody who was going up the stairs. She looked like a trainer, and I said, ‘Hey excuse me, where’s the boxing room?’” he said. “She turned around and it was like, ‘Oh s–t.’ It was one of those flashes where you go, ‘Uh-oh.’”

Dolph and Emma became friends and trained together for a while before they started dating.

“I didn’t know why she liked me at all, but I suppose she saw something there. She didn’t know about my acting career, she didn’t know anything about me,” he said.

The pair got engaged in June 2020 and tied the knot in Greece in July 2023. A few months before their nuptials, the Swedish actor revealed that he had been privately battling cancer for eight years.

“This is just the first time I’ve spoken about it,” he said on In Depth With Graham Bensinger in May 2023. “So, if you can save one person’s life who was in my situation then it’s worth it, for sure.”

Dolph said doctors found a tumor on his kidney in 2015, which he had removed. He continued to have regular visits to monitor his condition.

“Then I did scans every six months. Then you do it every year and it was fine for five years,” he continued. “In 2020, I was back in Sweden and had some kind of acid reflux … So, I did an MRI, and they found that there were a few more tumors around that area.”

Finally, in November 2023, Dolph announced that he had completed treatment and was cancer-free. Throughout his journey, he said Emma was always supportive.

“I felt sorry for her because she’s quite a bit younger than me and having to deal with all this bulls–t and all these doctor’s appointments, but she’s been very good about it and super supportive,” he said. “I think it’s brought us together, she’s like an angel that was sent down to help.”
